Kim Cattrall
Kim Victoria
Cattrall, born 21 August 1956 is a Canadian-born British actress. Her character
in the role of Samantha Jones in HBO's Sex and the City (1998-04) is her most
well-known role. She was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden
Globe Award nominees. In 2002, she was awarded the Golden Globe for Best
Supporting Actress. In the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2
(2010), she reprised her character. Cattrall's debut film was Rosebud (1975)
and she continued to appear in different roles on television. The 1980s saw she
rose to fame through films such as Ticket to Heaven (1981), Police Academy
(1984) and Hold-Up (1985). She was also in City Limits (1985), Big Trouble in
Little China(86), Mannequin (1987), Masquerade (1888), Midnight Crossing (1988)
and The Return of the Musketeers (1989). Tribute (1980), Porky's (81) and Turk
182(85), and Baby Geniuses (999) were only a few occasions in which she
appeared alongside Bob Clark. Additional credits include The Bonfire of the
Vanities (1990), Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country (91), Split Second
(1992), Above Suspicion (95), and 15 Minutes (192001).
