Los Angeles on September 20, 1970. Her parents moved to Dallas within a short
time after her birth. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School of
the Performing and Visual Arts in the city center of Dallas. She completed her
BFA in acting from Stephens College, and also attended the British American
Drama Academy. She also spent six years at the Dallas Theatre Center, and one
year with the Encore Company. Before making her big screen debut, she started
her acting career at the theater. Her stage credits include "As You Like
It", “A Funny Things Happened on the Way to The Forum" "Measure
for Measure", and "Chicago", as well as numerous other
productions. Her most memorable appearance was in Michael Cristofer's HBO
telefilm Gia (1998) with Angelina Jolie. She made her famous to audiences and
critics. Elizabeth's charismatic acting abilities were apparent in the sci-fi
adventure Frequency (2000) which featuring Dennis Quaid and Neil LaBute.
Elizabeth Mitchell is an actor with a wide range of credits, including films,
TV shows and theaters. While the filming of Frequency ((2000)), she broke her
nose. In 1994, she appeared in a Hertz Rent-A-Car commercial but "they
took it down because of the O.J. thing." David Lee Smith was her boyfriend
in 1995. They live in Dallas with their parents, who are tax and estate
lawyers. Returning to the U.S. from Europe after long-running as Rosalind in a
theater production "As You like It". After her birth in LA in 1970,
her parents relocated to Dallas, Texas. She graduated in 1991 from Booker T.
Washington High School which is a school for Visual and Performing Arts
situated within the Arts District of Dallas. The school graduated Stephens
College in 1991 with an Fine Arts Degree. The latter part of 2001 was spent in
Cyd the character of Ioan Gruffudd. This series aired in March 2002 on BBC 1
TV.
