Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actress from Canada. She starred as Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's series Majority Rules! From 2009 to 2010. From 2009 to 2010, she was a star as Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) on the NBC series Revolution which is a post-apocalyptic science fiction show. She was nominated to a Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. Annika Johnson played her part in the A&E television show Bates Motel. Since the year 2017, Spiridakos has appeared on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. as Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, restaurant owners George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. The family moved to Skala in Greece, south-of Sparta within a short time after her birth. In 1992, they came back to Canada. She is strongly at home with her Greek heritageand is fluent in Greek. Spiridakos began acting as a junior high school. She later was a student at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos moved to Winnipeg in 2007. She was able to get her first TV role on Supernatural within a few weeks. She continued to do television work with walk-on roles on Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos appeared in the TV movie Goblin, and the web-based television series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Also, she was a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean as the werewolf. In 2009, Spiridakos got her first lead role in Majority Rules! Canada, where she played 15 year old Becky Richards. Her feature film debut came in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she was in the role of Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos made an appearance as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original movie, Rags. Spiridakos then was offered the part of the lead in Revolution in the role of Charlotte Matheson (survivor of a dystopian society) and telecast on NBC television. She auditioned for the part when she attended her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos produced the pilot in Atlanta and the initial season in Wilmington. For her performance on the pilot she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television. She was defeated by Fringe's Anna Torv. Production moved to Austin, Texas for the second season of the show.
