Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara, Spanish: was born July 10, 1972. She is an actress presenter, producer model, and television presenter from Colombia. Vergara was the highest-paid American actress between 2013 and 2020. Vergara gained prominence hosting two Spanish-language programs on Univision in late 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was Vergara's debut major acting role in English. Following that, she appeared featured in Four Brothers (2005), Tyler Perry's Comedies Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009 that earned her an ALMA Award nomination). She made her debut as Gloria Delgado–Pritchett for ABC's comedy series Modern Family in 2009. As a result of this role, she received four Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. She also voiced characters in animated films Happy Feet Two (2011). Escape from Planet Earth (2013). and The Emoji Movie (2018). Vergara was the most-paid Hollywood actress in 2020[citation requiredfor 2020[citation needed]. Since 2020, Vergara has been a judge on America's Got Talent. Vergara was born to a Roman Catholic family in Barranquilla. Her mother Margarita Vergara De Vergara was a domestic worker, and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo worked as a cattle rancher in the meat industry. The five siblings of her and many of her cousins have referred to her as "Toti". Vergara completed three years of dentistry at National University of Colombia. However, she decided to drop two semesters before graduation to pursue modeling and showbusiness opportunities.
