Maureen O'Hara Biography
Maureen O'Hara is a famous American actor and singer with Irish origin. The fiery, passionate roles she played in a range of American films were loved by the green-eyed beauty who had flashing hair and fiery eyes. Her attractive look and natural beauty were well-received. The actress was known in Hollywood as the "Queen of Technicolor". Her screen appearances were a reflection of her brave, strong spirit. She fought for recognition and survival within a male-dominated society. She was always a "tough Irish lass" who will never sacrifice her honor and status in order to secure the roles she deserved through merit. Through her long career in the film arena she stood up against discrimination and unfair treatment towards women actors, and for this, she gained lots of admirers. Her autobiography, "Tis Herself", was released in 2004. It was an honest and candid description of her life, including the struggles she faced as she climbed the ladder to success. She was an adventurous person who was never afraid to perform herself at her own tricks. She was an actress in more than 60 films throughout the years and was the recipient of a fair amount of fame internationally. Moving on from Parra her second marriage, she got married in 1968 with Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a former brigadier, former chief pilot, and an early pioneer in transatlantic aviation, to name a few achievements. After a few years of their marriage, she decided to retire. But her joy was fleeting as Blair was killed in a fatal plane crash in 1978. In the same year , she was diagnosed with uterine cancer and required immediate surgery. She eventually recovered. She suffered six heart attacks, short-term memories loss and type 2 diabetes in the following years. On the 24th of October, 2015, O'Hara passed away peacefully in Boise, Idaho, from natural causes at 95
