2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps is an American hip-hop and rapper who is better known by the name of 2 Chainz. He is a Georgia native, and formed the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle with a friend from high school. The group's debut album, 'Supply & Demand,' was not a huge success. Epps released the album 'Based On a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. Debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200, it became a tremendous success. It was an enormous hit and sold 147,000 copies in the first week! Since the release of this album, there's been no looking back for him and he rose to become one of the top hip-hop artists in the US. He's been nominated for six Grammy Awards, the most recent of which was for his song "No Problem". When he was discovered to be with marijuana and promethazine and was arrested on board a plane leaving Los Angeles International Airport in 2013. His brush with law has not had any effect on his popularity. The fourth and newest studio album 'Pretty Girls Like Trap Music' was released in June of 2017. 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', 2 Chainz's debut studio album is his first major record and his most commercially successful. The album was an enormous hit and climbed to the top spot on the US Billboard 200. In only one week, the album sold 147,000 copies. It eventually sold 623,000 copies during the year. It was nominated for the 55th Grammy Awards for 'Best Rap Album'. Reviews were mostly mixed. 2 Chainz wed Kesha Ward in 2013. The couple is the proud parents of three kids Heavenly, Harmony, Halo. He is not only an extremely successful professional, but he is known for his brushes with the law. He has been arrested several times for possession of drugs.
