Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist,
worked previously as an anchor for television at ABC News. Her time as
co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) as well as co-host on The
View (2015-2018) are well-known. Prior to that, she was co-anchoring World News
Now as well as America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. The position she held was in radio sales, due to
the lack of television opportunities. After a year of working as a production
assistant for WKEF/WRGT she was allowed to anchor and report periodically.
Between 2002 and 2005, she was the sports anchor for weekends and sports anchor
on weekdays at WPO-TV in Cincinnati. Following the expiration of her contract
and she became a anchor and sports reporter at the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in
Chicago from November 2005 until December 2011. In December 2011, she was
appointed by ABC News, the division for news of ABC. The first time she
appeared on the ABC News network on World News Now and America This Morning on
January 2 2012. She was a correspondent as well as substitute for Good Morning
America during this period. Then she was made a New York-based correspondent
for every ABC News programs. The program was not able for her to finish the
final episode of World News Now or America This Morning. The show aired on
January 22nd the 22nd of January 2013. On September 9, 2014, she made her debut
as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend, following the departure of Bianna
Golodryga. Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News. ABC announced that she will join The
View as a cohost for season 19. The show announced on August 3 on the 3rd of
August, 2016, that she was renewed for her contract for the 20th season. Season
21 was also renewed thanks to her co-hosting duties. During the series' 22nd
and 21st seasons, she was mostly on the show's Friday shows.
