Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was the younger daughter
of media producer, mogul Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones is
her elder sister. She has five half-siblings from the other relationships her
father had with his family. Her father is African American and her mother is
Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant emigrants of Russia as well as Latvia). Rashida
was raised Reform Judaism. She was born in Bel Air, Los Angeles. Jones stated
that Jones' mixed race parents were not acceptable to her during the 1970s. Jones
began her debut as a professional actor in The Last Don in 1997 A mini-series
that was inspired by Mario Puzo. In 1997, Rashida graduated from Harvard
University. Took a course at the Buckley School, Sherman Oaks, California.

engaged to her sister Kidada Jones. Rashida and Kidada's brother Quincy Jones
III produced the track, while their father, Quincy Jones, made an appearance ,
reciting the lyrics of the poem by Shakur "Starry Night" in the
intro. The poem was the inspiration for the title of the song. Rashida's dad is
African-American and also has smaller amounts of English, Scottish, and Welsh
and Scottish and Welsh ancestry (some of his African relatives were of the
Tikar people of Cameroon). Rashida's mom, Ashkenazi Jewish (of Russian Jewish
heritage and Latvian Jewish heritage), is Rashida. Her paternal grandparents
hail from South Carolina and Mississippi, respectively. Her maternal
grandfather was born in New York, and her maternal grandmother was born in
Dublin, Ireland, of Eastern European Jewish origin. As of the end of 2009 she
had played three different characters with "Karen", on the classic TV
sitcoms Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
